Recorded in 1997 over various Widespread Panic shows, Light Fuse Get Away is the first live LP from the Athens, GA jam band. If you're a fan of the group, this album, originally released in 1998 (sidebar: the release party, which was a free show in Athens, GA, attracted more than 100k people), is a must. For those just getting into the group, Light Fuse Get Away provides a good taste of what checking out the band live is like, with long jams bookending songs and the perfect amount of the crowd reaction adding to the ambience of the album. The title track features Brandford Marsalis on saxophone, also check out "Porch Song," "Disco," and "Diner."
