Richard Davis: Methane Sea Vinyl 12"

Detroit holy grail repressed! Richard Davis dropped this seminal piece of cosmic ambience way back in 1978, predating his work with Juan Atkins as Cybotron. Listening to "Methane Sea" evokes images of distant planets, alien life forms, and maybe even a gaseous ocean or two. It really goes to show how ahead of the curve this Motor City visionary was... either that or maybe Davis is indeed from another planet (totally possible). Original 45 copies are crazy rare and expensive ($800+), so you probably don't want to miss this 12" reissue while it's around.
