Third studio album from Forest Hills' Ramones! Rocket To Russia was originally recorded during the height of the punk rock craze of the late 70s. After "Sheena Is a Punk Rock" was released as a single, the band received an advance from Sire Records to fully record and produce an album. They turned in an effort that topped the sound of their previous albums. There's a noticeable surf rock influence, the tempos are more varied and the overall production value is of higher quality. Includes the hits "Rockaway Beach," "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker," "Teenage Lobotomy," and "Do You Wanna Dance?" Fourteen tracks in all. Released by Sire on 180 gram vinyl housed in a replica sleeve with printed inner sleeve.
