Lifted directly from the classic "Part Two EP" from Matthew Herbert, here is a limited reissue of "Deeper." The 1996 deep house cut is that WORK; check the heady, seductive groove that exudes from the still-fresh (after 20 years!) production, complete with ambient soundscapes and perfectly timed breakdowns. On the flip, Stuart Li aka Basic Soul Unit out of Toronto turns up the heat by beefing up the drums and picking up the tempo. The result is a hyper, techno-fied rework that respectfully retains the strong bones of the original.
