Beastie Boys vs Calibro 35: Sabotaggio Vinyl 7"
I can't stand it! Italian funk super group Calibro 35 takes on the Beastie's "Sabotage" and gives it a distinctly retro vibe. Matching the mustachioed character on the cover, Calibro's version sounds straight out of a 1970s crime caper. Organs stab away while fuzz bass lays down an impeccable groove. The drums are just funky enough and the breaks come in all the right places. Thankfully, the used Ad Rock's vocals (why they went with the censored a'capella I can't tell you). Not sure what it would all sound like in Italian. Instrumental on the flip so you can make your own funky mixes.
